Made this piece of edible art as a part of the Polka Dots Cakes Academy Caker Buddies Collaboration.
India has a rapidly evolving cake decorating scene and I’m all set to carve my niche in here.Here is my first post ever on this platform and my humble attempt to replicate the show.
I Dream Of Jeannie is an American fantasy sitcom by Sidney Sheldon starring Barbara Eden as a 2000 yr old genie and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who becomes her master, with whom she falls in love and eventually marries.
So for my design i chose to depict the jeannie’s bottle on a beach, depicting the pilot episode of the show where the master’s space ship lands on a deserted beach and he finds the jeannie bottle for the first time. I have tried to incorporate various techniques in each layer of the cake. Like the inside of jeannie’s bottle is made using isomalt, cushions and chandelier using gumpaste and the bottom layer of the pot shaped cake has been texurized using semolina and edible sequins.
