This groom’s cake was requested to be a medieval-style shield with design freedom, except that they for sure wanted their initials to be on the shield. I think it took on a very ‘Game of Thrones’ vibe! The swords are gumpaste with ornate moldings on the handles. The cake is a White Velvet cake with white chocolate buttercream filling & icing. Covered in a mix of fondant & modeling chocolate with modeling chocolate decor. I used dragons because those medieval lions are so common….& because I freaking love dragons, OK? LOL!
