3d French Bulldog cake

3d French Bulldog cake

Meet Pepé Le Pew………yes that REALLY is his name.
Not sure if that’s due to his ‘French connection’ or something to do with wind………!!
Anyway – he’s one very pampered dog who belongs to Deborah, and they both celebrate their Birthday’s this weekend.

Last Christmas Pepe was given a dress up outfit (note the ‘not impressed’ expression on his face).
And it was so comical Steward asked if I’d make a 3d cake of him wearing the outfit for Deborah’s Birthday. Aparently Pepe’s been beside himself with excitement in anticipation of said cake- (think he’s in on the secret so sure he’ll be in for a slice too).

Cakes Lemon drizzle and you can see how I built it from the photo above.
I found a fantastic article by Nina Blackburn on building a pug cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBORAH AND PEPE LE PEW.
Hope you both have a fantastic day xxx

Awwww, I’m already in love with Pepe just reading your story, which is warming and delightful… Our pets are so precious to us as is this lovely fella who you’ve captured so wonderfully.
And I really hope he got a slice of that yumminess!! 💕

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Thank you so much June, Calli, Jan, Sarka and Roo xxxxx
I’m getting better……..find them great fun but a little stressful having to do them all in one go.
At least with a topper type cake you can do some of the decorations ahead.
I’ve got a feeling he’s a propper little monkey.
