Mario Cake with cupcakes

Here is a cake and cupcakes I made for my son’s 12th birthday this yr. His fav. old video game, I tried my best to make a few of the characters from it. I still don’t have the correct tools, (still new to all this) so it was all carved out by hand w/ a little knife, and my second attempt at working w/ fondant. The cake and cupcakes are choc. and blue butter cream on the cake, peanut butter frosting over choc. cake for the cupcakes.
