SUMMER BLACKBERRIES CAKE

My completed cake from Maggie Austin’s Craftsy class “Berries, Leaves and Blossoms”
White cake torted and filled with blackberry puree and blackberry Italian meringue buttercream, iced in blackberry Italian meringue buttercream. Covered in lavender marbled fondant, with touches of edible silverleaf and silver veining. Gumpaste Blackberries and blossoms. For a friends birthday who happens to love any shade of purple color.

It’s lovely and sounds delicious. I’ve used blackberry curd & SMBC on chocolate cake but never used in on white cake. Got do that one of these days.

Thank you Goreti and Elena. Friend Lilian loved her cake and the staff at the Cheesecake Factory restaurant where we had brunch were all talking about it. We were all so full after brunch only one of we six were able to finish their piece of cake.
