This was a really special order. I was called by little Charlie’s mother last year, and she explained that she wanted a christening cake, but she and her partner were also carrying out a surprise vow renewal too on the day, and so needed something that really tied in this very special family event.
I used an ‘Evil Cake Genius’ stencil, which I love, to dress the whole cake in piped lace. Added tiny navy blue piping dots, and a glitter cross, along side a fantasy flower and building blocks and fondant bear.

But to really tell the story, and show the love of a family with a special new addition, it was all about making these animated ‘bobble head’ toppers.
