“In an early celebration of World Doll Day, 19 sugar artists from all over the world came together to showcase dolls from different countries and to spread a universal message of love and happiness. We are honored to have been featured exclusively in Party Cakes magazine, issue 27.”
My inspiration came from Indonesian National dress named ‘Kebaya’. I have ‘Kebaya’ that my friend gave to me as a present. It’s very beautiful dress and I used that as my inspiration for the dress of my doll. The skirt pattern is Tenun Toraja (Weaving Toraja) from South of Sulawesi, Indonesia. To complete the look, I put modern hair style with some white small flowers. I want to represent these flowers as Jasmine flowers that also Indonesian National flower.
