"Last Fall Cake for the Season"

This is the last Fall cake for the season – December cakes will be all about Christmas. This is a coconut cake infused with a simple syrup, which I flavored with a coconut emulsion to intensify the flavor. I decided to use a mixture of buttercream and Nutella (hazelnut) for the filling and it turned out quite good. This cake recipe is very moist and rich.

This cake will be donated to KW Cares at Keller Williams Realty – my office holds a Silent Auction on the cake with the proceeds going to this great program. KW Cares helps realtors who are going through difficult situations. I am very glad to be involved in this worthwhile cause.
