I made this cake almost a month ago but couldn’t post it until now.

A beach themed birthday cake for my boyfriend’s sister that traveled with his parents from here in Nova Scotia (Canada) to North Carolina (US). Sarah had commented that she would have to come home some year for her birthday in order to get one of my cakes so this year it worked out that I was able to send one down to her when her parents went to visit.

Because they were arriving almost three weeks before her birthday I had to keep the design simple so that the cake could be easily frozen. I carefully packaged up the palm tree separate from the cake in hopes that it would survive the trip which it did :-)
