What can I say, I really don’t like this cake.

My niece wanted a butterfly cake and I was all set to do something pretty when I was told, no she just wants a blue butterfly.

I spent hours handpainting and piping all the little petals to try and make it look more interesting and patchworked the board and even the cake itself was blue and white marble.

In hindsight, I wish I’d carved my own butterfly shape, rather than using a tin (a poor workman and all that!).
