A lovely lady wanted a special cake for her 40th birthday but styled like a wedding cake that she wished she had on her wedding. She wanted a tiered cake with cascading flowers in a bright palette of reds and yellows. I usually work with pastel colours so it was a challenge to come up with something bright and yet classy and mature. And she didn’t want roses either! I finally decided on the ever classic orchid and elegant calla lilies in red, yellow and burnt orange. She loved it x
