This wedding cake moves away from the traditional flowers and drapes, inspired by all things Indian, it weaves a love story on each level. My inspiration was my own love story to an ex- Army officer and I wanted to depict our story. The lowest tier was a traditional mango motif taken from my wedding saree. The next tier was my husband’s army trunk, along with his course badge. The next tier has henna designs depicting celebrations and marriage. The final two tiers have architectural designs mirroring those found in palaces. The colors scream Bollywood and the gold accents are quintessentially Indian.
