For The Love of Children Cake Collaboration: “Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!! This collection of sugar art is in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, and celebrates all the wonderful literature made for our children! 14 amazing pieces, each full of love and incredible talent!. This cake is based off of the Quentin Blake illustration on the front cover of the Roald Dahl book The BFG. I chose this book because it was one of my favorites as a kid, and I also LOVE Quentin Blake illustrations. The rock he is sitting on is made from cake, and his body is RKT and fondant. The entire thing is covered in dark chocolate ganache and fondant. Background rocks and briefcase are made from RKT. The entire piece is hand painted.
