My daughter asked me to make a cake for her friend’s 18th surprise birthday party. Her requests were that it be sparkly, girly, and have pearls on it. She also picked the flavor…..Oreo with swiss meringue buttercream.
I had never tried piping ruffles before and thought they would go perfectly with this cake design….I decided I LOVE piping ruffles! I incorporated the pearls in the bow to look like a broach in the center. My daughter was very pleased with it and so was the Birthday Girl! This design could be easily adapted to use for many other occasions.
