Blue Monarch in Cream

This cake was preordered months in advance for a bird photographer whose favourite bird is the blue monarch.Sometimes you say yes because the client has so much faith in you but pulling this off was truly difficult.The nest which I loved designing ,the blue monarch and even the eggs are all made of whipped cream,only the camera is a laminate .Thanks for looking .

I carved out the bird from a bread loaf pan ,let it set in the deepfreezer overnight and then sculpted the next morning ,same with the nest :)
