This is my contribution to the flowers issue of Wedding Cakes and Sugar Flowers Magazine. The cake features the Ranunculus flower made from gum paste. As this flower is an old bloom, I wanted to create a modern cake with a vintage flair. The color palette of blush pink and sea green adorned with pearls is reminiscent of days gone by while the overall design incorporates a more modern feel with a 10 inch tier and sharp edges. Hope you enjoy it
