My first “REAL” wedding cake! Vintage with a touch of Baroque!
Both tiers are “naked” ganache with sugar pearl and fondant embellishments. I loved doing plain ganache as the icing because it leaves an imperfect look with a bit of interesting texture — a perfect “vintage” feel. And also, the colors were great for the theme (white chocolate ganache is the epitomy of the best vintage ivory hue ever!!!).
Top tier is vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling, covered in white chocolate ganache. The bottom tier is chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream, covered in organic semi sweet chocolate ganache.
