Come take a trip around the world with Santa…

This is my contribution to “Santa’s Passport” collaboration. My chosen country, obviously had to be PORTUGAL.
Yes, we celebrate Christmas here since most of the population is Catholic. Yes, we have Santa Claus and Christmas trees and gifts, but I wanted to give it a twist and do something fun. I wanted people to look at my piece and know exactly which country it represented. And then I thought Cristiano Ronaldo!!! The whole world know Ronaldo! lol :) So I decided to do a fun Santa and dressed him with Cristiano Ronaldo’s shirt. :) And gave him a football/soccer ball because if there is one thing the Portuguese LOVE it’s football/soccer. :) Here in Portugal everyone loves football/soccer (everybody except me). lol But that was my inspiration. Around the cake I put several typical Portuguese symbols, such as Galo de Barcelos, the flag, the famous rugs of Arraiolos, folklore women dancers, etc.
