This cake is my take on how simply a wedding cake can exhibit the emotions behind a relationship. For this cake I’ve used my own story as the theme. My patience and love for neatness made me go for a pearl ivory base. The tiers were all inspired by modern techniques.

The bottom two tiers used mosaic and stenciling to showcase the time before we met. Shaped with colors, yet missing that spark.

God’s irony – we spent 4 years in the same college as undergrads, yet did not meet each other. Then finally in Melbourne did we meet – beneath the giant Seiko clock. The suspension of the double barrel is those four years. The clock was replicated free hand with a wafer paper dial.

The top two tiers symbolize our advent into the golden life. One of the tiers was masked and airbrushed while the other was sculpted into a sphere and covered with gold sequins – the glamour in love!
