This piece weighs heavy on me. It is not what I started out to create but it is the result of reading stats and reports and watching videos regarding the HIV/AIDS epidemic still affecting the world today. How it is still here and somewhat forgotten. That babies don’t have to be born with HIV because there is a pill that can keep them from getting if mom has access and education to treatment. They are unseen and need advocates to give them a chance at a life without disease. During my google search I saw a picture of a covered women and it just became what I need to make and this is the result. The “cloth” weighing her down is rice paper soaked in red colored water and draped.
It has been an honor to work beside so many talented and giving human beings.

We must INSPIRE to ACT and CREATE ways to CHANGE…..
