Giant Cupcake Violet Plant Pot

This was my first of now many giant cupcakes in the theme of a flower pot gift.

The cake waas made for my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday and the flowers were all made individually by hand without the use of a mould. They took me hours and hours to cut and assemble each individual petal and even to this day it never fails to amaze me how many flowers it actually takes to cover a giant cupcake!

It was also the first time I used a gift tag rather than writing on the board and that is now the was I always personalise a cake if possible.
