White weddings are all well and good, but I do like a bolder bride every now and again!

Jenny was very clear about her colour scheme – two shades of purple (plum and Cadbury) plus varying shades of teal/sea green. She also wanted a floral cascade effect. This is what I came up with – not my most recent cake (it’s from last year), but still a favourite of mine.

The initial lettering and the colour scheme of the wedding reception venue complemented the cake colour scheme perfectly.

I used Rainbow Dust Pro-Gel food colours to achieve the deep shades, plus a bit of airbrushing too. The flowers were made in Platinum Flower Paste, which is my preferred brand.

All four tiers were in different flavours of sponge cake. Assembled at the venue as I daren’t travel with something like this!!
