I love the taste, smell and deep colour tones of figs so much that I had to make a fig cake…and it’s certainly not just figs. This recipe has all kinds of nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, pecans, cashews) and other dried fruit (figs, apricot, prunes, raisins), and is covered with a soft cheese cream frosting, whole walnuts, fresh figs and dripping honey. Darn it! Why did I finish off the package of figs last night? Could have made this cake today since I have everything else. I know what will be on my shopping list. Already pinned the recipe. Thank you so much for sharing. Looks delicious.
