This is what I, the mum in Delicut Cakes, presented at Birmingham Cake International 2015. Thinking it would be very original I decided to make a Cactus and what do I see when I get to Birmingham? Purely by chance, right next to the site allocated for my cactus and totally at random, there was another variety of cactus !!! And…… it was stunning! Plus all the flowers on that table were incredible !!!

Well, resigned to getting another silver if I was lucky …. I went to rest (I had been repairing the damage all through the night after the 1750 kms trip which was full of vibrations and bumps) the truth is that I kept thinking about the cactus and I didn’t sleep well. But…. on Saturday morning I couldn’t believe my eyes, I had been given a gold award! I was so happy!!! And come Sunday, I couldn’t believe that I had also been awarded the 2º prize too!!! There are no words to describe how happy I am!!
