This cake is what you would expect to find visiting Venice.
Love in the air, canals, gondolas, gondoliers, pigeons and music.
All these aspects I wanted them to represent an ironic and humorous.
The background is made with pastillage and is entirely hand-painted.
The characters and the pigeons with their instruments were modeled without the use of molds.
The canal has been airbrushed, water movements are been painted by hand and finally the royal icing is served to embellish the waves.
