Sweet sixteen

Sweet sixteen

I loved the color combo I was given for this Sweet Sixteen birthday cake and then free reign on design was so very much appreciated. She is not a very girlie girl so I wanted something not do feminine but enough to give it flair. The top tier went horribly wrong at first and my original design for it just did not work so I was left hanging with just a few hours before delivery but with some cake lace on the shelf I decided I would try this and was so happy with the way it turned out. It still ended up being a little bit more girlie than anticipated but the girl really loved it and that was the main thing.

Now on a side note it is very lucky that I am not afraid of snakes. As we were walking this to the house for delivery it was quite dark and I could not see the path. I had my daughter with me as she was going to the party. All of a sudden my daughter says “OMG mum you almost stepped on that snake!!!” I look down and there is a foot long snake at my feet, lol. Now that could have ended up in a disaster, lol!

Beautiful! Love the colors.

I agree, the color combo is beautiful. So glad the snake didn’t cause a disaster.

Colours, the lace and navy ruffled flowers make the cake look so regal…
