I had always wanted to make a carousel cake but hadn’t had the confidence to make one – until now! I found a good tutorial and tweaked things slightly to make it special to the little girl whose christening cake it was. I underestimated how long it would take to paint the gold into the cake but the effect was so worth it! The bottom tier was vanilla, middle tier was chocolate and I made a small lemon cake to go on the side so that the whole top tier could be kept as a momento of the lovely day!
