The birthday boy set me this challenge, about a year ago. I LOVED making it!!!

Both the wood and crayfish are mud cake, covered in ganache and fondant.

The photos taken inside are more it’s truecolours.

The picture with 2 crayfish – the taxidermied cray (that the birthday boy caught in 2009) is on the left, cake cray on the right.

The picture with the birthday boy is to show you just how big this baby was.

Caroline, I know Ive already commented on this the other day, but my word… I’m still so blown away… It is a masterpiece in sculpting… Totally realistic, right down to the last detail… I bet he loved it… So special for him!!!

Caroline, when I first saw this masterpiece my jaw hit the floor. That hasn’t changed. I’m still in awe. This is just amazing.
