Based on “Noddy at the Seaside (1953)”, I created a marble sheet cake with 3D illustration of Noddy enjoying the beach and hot weather. Covered in caramel buttercream and hand cut 3D fondant decoration hand dusted to give it a deeper 3D effect.
Noddy reminds me of my children’s joy having fun at the beaches. We have many beaches here in Florida, and this cake was also a chance for me to practice a new technique, by layering pieces of fondant like a puzzle to create an image. And it was DELICIOUS.
