Ugly Christmas sweater

This was my contribution to a workplace Christmas in July potluck. I wanted a simple design as I didn’t have a whole lot of time to work on it.

The cake is a single layer gingerbread cake with gingerbread buttercream. Most of the details were cut out with cookie cutters so it helped to speed things along.

Not sure if others do it at Christmas time or not but here we have ugly Christmas sweater parties over the holidays. The more over the top/tacky the details the better. The cake is meant to resemble one of these sweaters.
