Disco on the Thames

This cake was for a girl’s 10th birthday party on a boat on the River Thames (London). We should all be so lucky! The disco ball at the top is not cake – it was a placed on a small, sugarpaste-covered cake disc, supported by four dowels to hold its weight. The skyline was all hand-cut from sugarpaste and the boat was also modeled from sugarpaste.
