Elegance was the underlying theme requested for the first holy communion of Miriam. This was another instance where the idea was left to the imagination of the artist. Now, simplicity and elegance are a wondrous couple as I have stated before. But to entwine both to make a thing of beauty which also has to have a shimmering halo of piety around it ? A tricky one, this.

Designing the setting took two days of being poked fun at while I twirled my fingers in the air looking at infinity and beyond, working at the blueprint of the cake.

The fledgling baker in me was thrilled to bits upon receiving the following message from Jilu, Miriam’s mom.
“Hi Anna…cake was awesome n Miriam loved every bit of it…It tasted so so soooo good…..I’ve never had such tasty fondant cakes…thank you soooo much. May God bless you n your creative blessed hands abundantly….Thanks a ton Anna”
