This is another of my favourite cakes. Only my second shoe cake!! The brief was, pink and girly – she loves shoes and bags so it had to be a shoe!!! The heel was covered in pearls and were a nightmare to stay on but piping gel helped in the end!!! There was a simple bag on the top using a Stephen Benison handbag cutter. I used the little dog cutter and flowers to decorate. I airbrushed the cake and used some small pieces of cake lace and flowers to decorate. The tag as personalised with the recipients name on as a keepsake. The drum was a wood effect that I sprayed in matching pink! Lots of tiny pearls were used as decoration as well! the cake was Vanilla flavoured with vanilla buttercream and strawberry conserve! I’m pleased to say Alice loved her cake!!
