My three year old had been asking for a realistic lion cake for his birthday for about 9 months, it happened to fall on the same weekend as the New Zealand GoBake cake and craft show so I decided to make my design a little grander and enter.. I still can’t believe it but it cake first in my category!!!!

The lion and lioness are sculpted from cake and the heads are sculpted from chocolate. The only thing not edible is the lions legs. The grassy hill is cake and the little cub is modelling chocolate and fondant.

You know I love this cake! You are freaking talented girl! I am not surprised at all on your winning on GoBake show! I wish I could see it in real life, but was thousands of miles away! So happy for you, my gorgeous friend!
