Coral and Gold Wedding Cake

Coral and Gold Wedding Cake
Coral and Gold Wedding Cake

I made this wedding cake for a wedding yesterday. It is quickly becoming another favorite of mine!! It’s based off of a design the Bride found from The Caketress website. We changed some things up and make it unique for her special day. I love the final results. All handmade fondant flowers, and molded buttons that I painted with gold glaze and dusted with gold luster dust. Thanks for looking! Oh…and this cake served around 375 people…HUGE!

Very beautiful Heather. Which colors did you mix to achieve the coral? I have a wedding coming up with coral as the main color as well.

Thank you both so much for your compliments on my cake!! I truly appreciate it! To achieve the coral color I combined Satin Ice Pink fondant (the brighter shade not the pastel pink) and the Satin Ice Orange fondant. I had a fabric swatch to match it to. The lighting was not very good at the reception venue, so it’s hard to tell that I had two different shades of coral for the flowers. I just mixed until I got my base color and then added Fondx Virgin White to lighten some of it up a bit to get a different shade of coral.
