I absolutely loved making this cake for a lovely friends 40th birthday.
The prada bag is made from two 12 inch vanilla madeira cakes which have been stacked, dowelled and hand carved. It is covered with leather effect fondant and hand cut and sculpted details.
My friends husband had bought her the tag heuer watch in real life for her birthday (the lucky lady!) and thought having it in cake form would be a nice touch, this is also edible and is made from a 4 inch cake.
It is all presented on a hand imprinted wood effect board.
The birthday girls mum was convinced I had bought a real bag and couldn’t believe it when the cake was cut up :-)…I was over the moon as I’d aimed for it to look as real as possible :-).
