Wanting to make something special for my mother for Mother’s Day,this is what I came up with. This is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting covered in white chocolate ganache and a thin layer of fondant. My mom loves dramatic colors so I thought the combination of the strong red on white base would look great and mirror the flavors of the cake when cut. I only wish I had thought of taking some photos of the cut cake. I am very proud of myself that I managed to make my very first gumpaste flower. Thank you for looking:)
