My interpretation of the quintessential French country garden is Monet’s Garden at Giverny in France — the site of many of his most famous paintings. This piece is Madame Monet strolling along the Grande Allee. She is hand modeled in gumpaste and fondant and the Water Lilies are painted on her clothing. The garden features 830 handmade wafer paper, gumpaste and Royal icing flowers and greenery. The background is hand painted in acrylic.
