Family friends Linh and Billy threw an amazing first birthday party for their youngest daughter Skylar yesterday and I made the cake ❤️
Three tiers, bottom 8" vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream, middle 6" dark chocolate cake with caramel buttercream, top 4" vanilla and chocolate cake with caramel buttercream. All covered in fondant and airbrushed with Crystal Colors Royal blue airbrush color 💙
The balloons were a sculpted styrofoam shape covered with Gumpaste and modeling chocolate/fondant balloons glued on with Chocolaterie Maya Edible Adhesive. Both these products are my current favorites 😃 the paint smells sweet and doesn’t mare the taste of the cake at all! The adhesive is also sweet and glues like crazy!!!
Skylar loved her cake and it fit right in with all the wonderful DIY decorations her mom made ❤️ Including 50 lantern hot air balloons and billowing cotton clouds covering every ceiling in the house ☺️
