’44 talented cake artists from across the globe have come together to celebrate the beautiful and sophisticated designs of Indian fashion. Each artist created a cake inspired by a haute couture Indian outfit that is typically worn by women for elegant occasions. One can easily see how these outfits can easily translate into a gorgeous cake design with their rich colours and intricate decorations. You can view all the gorgeous creations over on our collaboration page here … https://www.facebook.com/ElegantIndianFashionCakes ’ <3
This is my creation in black, gold and ivory, and was given the traditional Sanskrit name of ‘Kalyani’, meaning beautiful and auspicious. I tried to keep as much elegance as possible but with a little extra ‘kick’ of design to the top … I’ve posted my inspiration photo along with more detailed shots of the cake here for you to have a peek at, but you can head on over to the page linked above already to see EVERYONE’S stunning creations alongside the beautiful gowns that inspired each of us .
I’d like to send huge thanks to Candace of Beau Petit Cupcakes for having faith yet again, and to Satin Ice who very generously sponsored my cake by gifting the fondant used to create what you see now :D
Thanks all for looking <3
