Yalda ordered this cake in celebration of her Iranian father’s birthday. It was the first time I had made rose water flavoured cake and the first time I had written anything in Farsi! The script was hand cut from gumpaste with a scalpel, and took several attempts! Very pleased with the sugar roses too :) Happy Birthday Akbar!
