What a brilliant idea, how did you do the lid, is it a polystyrene dummy.

I knew I had to make it for someone as soon as I saw it when browsing cakes on the Internet. It just so happened it was perfect for my friend’s 60th. :)
I used a cake board the same size as the cake & covered it with fondant on the bottom then the top, catching the ribbon just between the two layers. I put the flowers around the edge to hide the join but I think it looks pretty. If I did it again I think I’d do the bottom (of the lid) & let it dry, then the top/ribbon as it was difficult trying to balance it to dry out both sides.
