I have been hoping to get a chance to have a go at a Rapunzel cake and the opportunity arose earlier this week when I found out the daughter of a good friend wanted one for her daughter’s fourth birthday. The cake is a chocolate vanilla marble cake with a vanilla bean buttercream icing and all of Rapunzel’s clothes are made from sugarpaste. I took care to wrap Rapunzel’s legs in cling film before putting her into the cake and placed the doll’s clothes in a little bag so that the birthday girl can play with her new doll when the cake has been eaten. (although the mum has said she’s gonna go out and buy a cake for £1 and share it around so she doesn’t have to cut it! I’ve told her she’ll have to eat it sometime! lol)

This s so pretty. ( I did exactly the same with the cling film & clothes for my granddaughter’s Repunzel birthday cake.) I like the added touch of the butterflies too.

Thank you Bobbi! The look on the little girl’s face made it all worth it and it was so much fun to make. :o)
