The arowana fishes were made of sugarpaste with added CMC (tylose). Their bodies were 1st painted with a light coat of colour, left to dry overnight and then dusted with petal/shimmer dust. The scales were lined with 24k edible gold dust (mixed with vodka) for the extra bling.
All the fishes were attached to the cupcakes with RI. I was rather worried they would be too heavy to stay on but thank goodness none of them got away :)
