My own little man was 4 last Sunday but he was too sick to celebrate, so we postponed his party till today :) Recently he became a big fan of Cbeebies cartoon ‘The Adventures of Abney and Teal’. So when I asked him what cake he wants he said: ‘Here Abney, here Teal, there Neep, PocPocs and Bop in the River. And the porridge cake please, because Neep loves porridge’. I so adore the cute characters myself it was a pleasure to make it! Bop is in the tiny pond though but the bigger issue is – where is his tea as the cup is empty haha! I wouldn’t be myself if i didn’t experiment – So there’s chocolate sponge soaked in raspberry compote, layered with semolina vanilla buttercream ( as for porridge part) and raspberry jelly mousse :) Decorated with buttercream and handmade figurines (saracino rocks again!).
