This is my first submission here. Hi! :) This cake was my contribution to a Chinese New Year collaboration. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do until 3 days before the deadline. haha Sound familiar? From start to finish there were a lot of changes from the original sketch. In the end I am happy with it, but don’t be surprised if I post an updated version. Anyhow, when I think of goats I think of mountains, wind and clouds. I incorporated a tree to symbolize wood, because this years goat is a wood goat. All fondant covered cake. Modeling chocolate tree with 60 individually made gumpaste lanterns. One for each year in the cycle between the same Zodiacs. I hope you all like it. Happy Caking. :)
