For this summer I have chosen a floral design, lots ruffles and fresh green and purple shades! You might have seen my vertical ruffle tutorial and this is the cake I used it for! Finally I completed this piece, sometimes it takes more time (and finding the time lol!) and development before one is entirely happy….:-)

I tried hand painting the flowers with a pointilism technique… Surprisingly this works on a cake too! Some delicate 3D flowers to give the ‘painting’ a bit of dimension. Next time I will try to paint with a coconut oil though, meant to be better!

For the topper I made a fabric-like flower… I really like making flowers looking like they were made out of a dress fabric…more to play around with this season for sure :-)
