This cake was for a Little Mermaid themed party. Since I did a character Little Mermaid cake the birthday girl’s cousin last year, I wanted to do something different! The bottom is fondant frilled petals and dusted with a mixture of pearl and petal dust to resemble the mermaid tail. The top is ombre fondant pearls going all around the cake for Ariel’s top. I put her name on the top edge (and added a Little Mermaid candle at the party) Thanks for looking!

I found it at TJMaxx/Home Goods, only $12.99! They have rotating stuff so if you go often enough there are great finds!

Thank you! Yes I remember seeing yours and loving it because it was purple, my fav color. Also remember wondering if each pearl was hand rolled. Thank goodness for molds!!! :)
