This cake was made for a client who said she wanted a modern birthday cake. She asked me to design it and surprise her. I decided to do a take on modern with a little bit of vintage. The center of the ruffle flowers are white chocolate molds that I got from Way Beyond Cakes by Mayen’s Etsy Site.
It is a dark chocolate cake with fresh strawberry swiss meringue buttercream. Covered in light pink fondant and chartruese green ruffle flowers and accents.
