This is an engagement cake for the son of my dear friend. 364 days to get ready for the wedding cake!! It is a two tier vanilla cake. The bride’s colours are black and ivory with a touch of pink. I made gumpaste hydrangeas, my first real peony and my first dogwood flowers ( I loved making them!). I added some tulips and some sweet buds in the style of the super talented Jacqueline Butler Of Petalsweet. Thanks for looking.

This one is pretty close to filled with flowers! I especially love the dogwoods. I grew up in north Carolina and we had dogwood trees in our yard. I really miss those!
